Bahraini runner Naeema Othman won first place and the gold medal in the 200m sprint for young women, during the fourth day of the 12th Arab Athletics Championships for under-18

The championships were held at the Olympic Center in Cairo, Egypt, from September 5th to 9th, 2026. Naeema Othman's gold medal victory came after a remarkable performance in the race, adding another achievement to Bahrain's participation in the Arab Championships, amidst competition from some of the most promising Arab athletics talents.
