Bahraini Olympic champion Salwa Eid Naser continued her recent upward trajectory, securing second place in the women's 400m race at the Brescia International Athletics Meeting 2026, held in Brescia, Italy, as part of the continental Diamond League round of athletics. Naser and Jamaican Nikesha Price crossed the finish line in a fraction of a second, with both Naser and Price clocking impressive times of 49.27 seconds. However, the photo finish ultimately awarded the victory to Price by a very narrow margin. Jamaican Stacey-Ann Williams finished third in 49.92 seconds. This remarkable achievement for Naser comes just days after her third-place finish at the Silesia Diamond League meet in Poland, further highlighting her rising performance. Her technical level and high readiness for the upcoming international competitions. The chances of Bahraini champion Salwa Eid Naser qualifying for the Diamond League final in Brussels seem very strong and almost guaranteed, despite her limited participation this season, thanks to her high quality in winning podium finishes during the meetings she participated in recently.
