Bahrain opens its medal tally at the Arab Youth Athletics Championships with two golds and one silver


The Bahraini national athletics team opened the Kingdom of Bahrain's medal count with three medals (two golds and one silver) at the 21st Arab Youth Athletics Championships, hosted by Rades, Tunisia, from April 26-30. The championships saw wide participation from over 200 athletes representing 15 Arab countries.


Runner Rehana Ghrouba succeeded in achieving the gold medal in the 100-meter race after covering the distance in a time of 11.55 seconds, confirming her strong presence. Meanwhile, runners Aisha Abdullah and Sufyan Abdulghani excelled in the 400-meter race, with Aisha snatching the gold medal after covering the distance in a time of 53.69, while Sufyan came in second and won the silver medal after covering the distance in a time of 53.85, in a clear Bahraini dominance of the race competitions.
