Our Stars Prove Their Worth and Brilliance... Bahrain Takes Third Place in the Overall Ranking


The Kingdom of Bahrain achieved remarkable results and advanced rankings in the 21st Arab Youth Athletics Championships, hosted by the Tunisian city of Rades from April 26-30. The championships saw wide participation from over 200 athletes representing 15 Arab countries. Bahraini athletes shone brightly, winning eight medals (five gold and three silver), deservedly securing third place in the overall rankings, behind Egypt in second place and Morocco in first.


Sprinter Rehana Ghrouba secured the gold medal in the 100-meter sprint, finishing in 11.55 seconds and confirming her strong performance. Meanwhile, runners Aisha Abdullah and Sufyan Abdulghani shone in the 400-meter race. Aisha claimed the gold medal with a time of 53.69 seconds, while Sufyan finished second, earning the silver medal with a time of 53.85 seconds, demonstrating Bahrain's clear dominance in the event.


The Bahraini women's youth team won gold in the 4x400-meter relay, completing the race in 3:41.88, a remarkable achievement in this type of competition. Additionally, Ahmed Sabri deservedly claimed first place in the high jump, winning the gold medal.
