Bin Jalal congratulates His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the global achievement of Bahraini runner Birhanu Balew

His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Athletics Association, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, on the occasion of the global achievement of Bahraini runner Birhanu Balew, after his brilliance on the international stage, and his achievement of a new accomplishment for Bahraini athletics, by winning the title of the Diamond League Athletics 2026 in the 5000 meter race, recording a time of 12:45.70 minutes, breaking the Asian and Arab records, in addition to recording the best time in the world for this year, during the final held in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

Bin Jalal also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, on their continued and significant support for Bahraini sports in general and the Athletics Federation in particular.

Bin Jalal expressed his great pride in the remarkable and outstanding achievement of world champion Birhanu Balew.
